Get Ready For Dell Tablet!

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Following Apple and Google its Dell next. Yes, Dell also, as the rumors go, has hopped onto the Tablet bandwagon. Well, this is what we hear. The guys at onlygizmos just did a small study on the Dell Tablet.

Like the news go news go, Dell got its Tablet to CES 2010. But, it was not for public display and only a couple of people/companies got to get to see this Tablet.

A Quick glance at Dell Tablet or The Dell Slate:

The Dell tablet has a 5 inches display screen and Dell has termed it Dell Slate. (the reviewers say this is probably on the lines of Apple- Apple Tablet will most probably be referred to as iSlate) . Just like Google Tablet, Dell Tablet also is supposedly applying Android as Operating System. And there are possibilities that there could be a SIM card slot in the Dell Tablet.

Well, that isn’t all. There, certainly, is more to Dell Slate but Dell is keeping it low for now. To see the pictures of Dell Tablet, you may click here - Dell Shows But Hide Its Tablet

This year may see a lot of Tablet PCs from a number of brands; if rumors what we get are true. In fact Apple Tablet is intended to be available in the market on 26TH January, 2010. The release date is not confirmed and like the rest it is also unofficial news. Perhaps once Apple Tablet is really introduced, news about Google and Dell Tablet will be taken more seriously. Specs about Google Tablet have yet not become common. In fact, the news is still doubted by many. (But now that Google phone- Nexus One- is launched, there is strong reason that Google could be working on its Tablet too) .

As of now we can only look forward to Jan 26th. And hopefully Apple Tablet turns out to be a reality.

Dell Notebook - Light, Thin and Extremely Portable

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

A Dell notebook may be quite an acquisition for somebody interested in computers and in need of one that is light and thin, therefore extremely portable. On top of the fact that it is easy to handle, a Dell notebook doesn’t go too deep in your pocket. For example, the new Dell Mini Inspiron costs less than $500 but the more options you would like it to have on it, the higher gets the price. This Dell notebook relies on a TFT display with a specific resolution of 1024×600 pixels. A 1.6 Ghz Intel Atom processor is the engine that powers all the sensitive system inside the computer. It comes with a card reader so you may forget about cables required to transfer photos or other types of data, as this system makes it all easier for the user. It also has a built-in web camera and a module for wireless communications if you are interested in accessing the Internet. The operating interfaces compatible with Dell include Ubuntu Linux and OS Windows XP.

The Inspiron 1525 Dell notebook was another market success thanks to the artist concept incorporated in the design. The novelty this one brings as compared to other notebooks is the aspect. Thus, the customer can choose both the pattern and the color of the computer so as to match personal taste. Dell notebook manufacturers have initiated a collaboration with Mike Ming, a Brooklyn artist, owner of two plants the Sea Sky and Bunch o’ Surfers and who has thought of bringing a little more sense of energy, playfulness, sophistication and psychedelic dynamics to a mini laptop that has gained more and more appreciation in nowadays’ society. Dell company guarantees that the design looking like an original Ming will not fade or wear off in color as the designed is inlaid and of very high quality.

In conclusion, the purchase of a Dell notebook should involve an analysis of the applications it would serve for. If you want the mini-laptop for your own free time, then you can go for the Inspiron line, mentioned above, which has been created taking into account the reduced customer budget. The designs in this series remain the first choice of users who want a computer handy and available regardless of their location. However, If compared with the designs in the XPS series, the Inspiron Dell notebook does not have the same quality standard performance, yet, there remains room for improvement. Consequently, the XPS line of Dell notebooks remains professionals’ choice as these can really support the different needs of their users.

Acer To Bring Out The First Chrome OS Netbook

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Many of you already know, Google, in the coming year -2010, will introduce the much anticipated Google Chrome OS. But before that the race between different netbook companies to woo the market has already started.  Just a few days ago Dell came out with a compatible version for mini netbooks. Though Dell is not named in the official partner list by Google, it still managed to get all the attention by introducing this compatible version.

Second in the row is Acer, which says it will be the first one to manufacture a netbook to support Google Chrome OS.  In fact Acer has already begun the manufacturing work (started sometime in mid 2009).If Acer will live up to its claim or not cannot be said now. Last time we all saw that Acer failed in making netbooks those were to support Android (users could not install anything on these Android netbooks. Only the battery lasted longer with Android running on the netbook). This time it may actually be the first one to launch netbooks for Chrome OS. But like I said earlier, nothing can be said with surety.

Those who still have not heard of the Chrome OS news, Google Chrome Operating system will act both like a web-browser and an operating system. With that one will not have to install hundred tools, softwares etc. Everything will be present on cloud; and one can just pick it up from there, use it and give it back to the cloud. Simple. Once out in the market, the Chrome OS is going make internet so much different. So now you get why the race is getting tougher.

All we can ask for is that users get a good, convenient to use netbook for Google Chrome Operating System. Until then let’s wait and see who else joins the race. Two of them have alreday joined…
